DEVOTIONAL SINGING IN SOUND SANCTUARIES

(1^st & 3^rd Wednesdays)

In devotional singing, we create sacred space and celebrate with simple yet powerful songs and mantras. With open heart and throat chakras and vaulted ceilings, we sing, harmonize, hum, hold space, sit, or move while in deep relaxed meditation (Samadhi) channeling bliss. In gentle lighting, we cultivate peaceful sanctuaries in minds, bodies, hearts and sprits. We sing about consciousness, spirituality, love, joy, grace, peace and kindness. We  offer devotional songs, kirtans, contemporary rounds, call and response and toning. We share simple lyrics, mantras and images. There is room for creativity and each Wednesday a specific meditation is selected to cultivate compassion, forgiveness, unconditional love, peace and joy~

We begin with a 20 minute moving meditation and vocal warm up practicing tone improvisation from 7pm-7:30. The guitars and songs starts promptly at 7:30. Afterwards there is an opportunity to chat and connect and eat snacks~

Alchemy, Sky & Company co~facilitate devotional singing with guitarists: Sky, Akesha, Craig, & Doug. Vocals: MaryLea, Ilene (Sirvani), Alchemy and you! Proficient devotional guitarists, drummers and any level of singers and space holders welcome.  Drop in devotees and special guests acoustic players or kirtan facilitators welcomed. If you want to play your devotional sacred songs, email me a song list (2-3 songs with lyrics and chords preferably before hand, or come a little early and give them to me at the door~
